Important Update from the LOWA Board of Directors 4/17/2026:
A motion was made by the Board at the April 15, 2026 Board Meeting to appoint Dan Porter as the Treasurer of the LOWA Board for the remainder of the 25/26 Board term. Motion passed 5 yea/2 not present. Dan Porter is a LOWA member in good standing and will not be a voting board member in his role as Treasurer. He will remain on the Finance Committee. 

LOWA Bylaws: Article XI: Section 1. Enumeration of Officers. The Officers of this Association shall at a minimum be a President, Vice President, and Secretary who shall at all times be Directors. The office of Treasurer and such other Officers as the Board may from time to time create by resolution, may be filled by a Director or any other member of the Association. The President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer shall be bonded, at the expense of the Association, if deemed appropriate by the Board or as required by law.  

LOWA received a written resignation from Tom Francis on the evening of April 3rd, stating that he has chosen to step down from his position as Treasurer. He remains a Member of the Board of Directors.
