CLUBHOUSE: 
 
  • SERVERS (Part-Time Position) Must be 18 years or older and able to work flexible hours, including weekends.  Work schedule is 4 PM to 10 PM, Wednesday through Sunday, along with some holidays.  Must have excellent customer service skills, possess a positive, outgoing personality and be a team player.  Some restaurant experience preferred.
  • BARTENDER – (Part-Time Position) Provide timely, accurate, and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests.  Wash and sterilize glassware.  Clear and reset bar area tables.  Present menus and take and deliver food orders to guests in bar area.  Restock supplies as needed.
 
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES: 
 
  • ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES MANAGER – (Full-Time, Salaried) Seeking self-guided, motivated, and qualified applicants for the position of Environmental Resources Manager.  The ERM performs a mission critical role in our beautiful lake community, with expertise and top-notch management decisions.  The ERM conducts monitoring, research, data collection, and analyses related to lakes and tributaries for implementing long-term watershed management strategies.  The ERM operates two dams in accordance with VA regulations.  The ERM manages budgets and staff, all pertaining to lakes, marinas, stormwater management, and regulation enforcement. The successful candidate must possess skills in GIS, technical writing, interpreting environmental data, and be able to demonstrate ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with administration, community committees, and other association departments.     
A minimum of B.S. in limnology, biology, ecology, environmental science, natural resources management or other closely related field. M.S. preferred.Two years experience in management of water resources, especially recreational lakes, can be substituted.Candidate must have a valid VA driver’s license and pass a background criminal check. Must be able to obtain VA Erosion & Sediment Inspector certification and pass VA Boater Safety Course.
 
FAREWAYS CAFÉ:
 
  • SERVERS – (Part Time Position) Must be 18 years or older and available to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.  Provide excellent customer service skills, possess a positive, outgoing personality and be a team player.  Some restaurant experience preferred.
  • EVENING SHIFT LINE COOKS – (Part Time Position) Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends.  Accurately prepare and cook a wide variety of meats, poultry, and seafood, as well as vegetables and other food items using various kitchen equipment. Duties include plating and garnishing.  Must comply with Clubhouse standards for portion sizes, cooking methods and other policies.  1 yr. min. experience, along with good communication skills and team spirit.
  • SHIFT SUPERVISOR – (Full Time Position) This position will oversee café staff and be responsible for delegating tasks to servers, line cooks, bussers, and bartenders.  The shift supervisor will deal with customer complaints as elevated by staff and ensure timely, accurate, and excellent food and beverage service for all guests.  Assist with preparation of weekly work schedules.  Train new staff.  Order and maintain café supply inventory, and café food inventory.  Stock and restock items.  Perform closing duties.  Reconcile POS system. 
 
EQUESTRIAN CENTER:
 
  • BARN WORKERS – (Part-Time Position) Assist with barn chores, including cleaning stalls and paddocks, cleaning and filling water tubs, feeding the horses and blanketing when weather requires.  Additional duties may include assisting with pony rides and parties, trail rides and helping with shows and other special events.  Previous experience working with Equines required. Flexible work hours.
  • BARN INSTRUCTOR – (Full-Time Position) Perform daily barn chores and provide care and grooming for horses.  Clean stalls, paddocks, and water tubs; feed, water, and turn out horses. Provide assistance with camps, pony rides and parties, train rides, shows and other special events as required.  Provide coverage at the Equestrian Center on weekends.    Prepare rings for horse shows.  Schedule riding lessons.  Flexible hours including weekends and some holidays.
 
 
COMMUNITY CENTER:
 
  • FITNESS SPECIALIST – (Part-Time Position) Ensure that Fitness Center members work out in a safe, welcoming, and clean environment. Answering member inquiries.  Set up and take down classrooms for instructors as needed, report equipment malfunctions, ensure Fitness Center policies and procedures are adhered to. Demonstrate personal commitment to fitness and personal wellness. Excellent customer service and communication skills, and computer competency are a must. Fitness Instructor or Trainer certification desired. Work hours are 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Must be at least 18 years old, and able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
 
GOLF PRO SHOP:
 
  • BAG AND CART ATTENDANTS(Part-Time Position) Provide excellent customer service to LOWA golfers.  Must have a positive and outgoing personality.  Salesmanship and conversational golf knowledge a plus.  Handle all outside duties of the golf operation including cleanliness of the carts and facility, staging carts in a neat and organized manner, and monitoring the condition of the carts for needed maintenance.  Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.  Must be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week, including weekends and some holidays.
  • PRO SHOP ATTENDANT – (Part-Time Position) Responsible for all inside duties including greeting and checking in players, merchandise sales, stocking, inventory control, creating tee times, assisting with events, and light maintenance.  Must be available to work 15 to 20 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
 
MAINTENANCE:
 
  • GROUNDS – (Full-Time Position) Perform general landscaping maintenance tasks for routine and special events. Must have experience in operation of basic grounds care equipment. Position requires heavy lifting and working in all weather conditions.
  • CAPITAL PROJECTS MANAGER – (Full-Time Position) Responsible for preparing bid requests; overseeing all aspects of capital projects design, development and implementation; preparing/reviewing cost estimates, scope, schedule, budgets; coordinating/obtaining regulatory approvals and permits; and ensuring completeness and accuracy in bid specifications.  College degree preferable in Architecture or Engineering, VA licensed Architect or Engineer, demonstrable extensive capital projects management, procurement, financial management and reserve studies knowledge, and minimum ten years experience in project management. 
 
COMMUNICATIONS:
 
  • COMMUNICATIONS and MEMBER ENGAGEMENT MANAGER – (Full-Time Position) Provide leadership, communication, and multimedia skills necessary to enhance, expand and emphasize LOWA messaging to members about amenity participation and engagement in decision making (referendums, surveys, capital projects); manage a variety of different media to implement communication plans.  Manage staff.
 
ADMINISTRATION: 
 
  • BUSINESS SYSTEMS COORDINATOR – (Full-Time Position) Handle all planning, implementation, and management of  business system projects such as automation, AllBox, pool entry software and proximity card readers at amenities; support training and technical support for the phone system, copiers, printers, security cameras, point of sale (POS) systems, TEKControl, and more; provide weekend support both on-call and on-site.
 
LAKES: 
 
  • MARINA  ATTENDANT – (Part-Time Position) Assist in the operation of the Marina fuel center and provide exception customer service to all Marina patrons.  Pump fuel, collect payment, accurately perform administrative paperwork and recordkeeping, perform routing Marina inspections, and maintain proper inventory.  Provide additional assistance to Environment Resources Manager with various tasks including data collection and processing.
