UPDATE December 20, 2024

• LOWA Project team will not schedule any other site work activities until the remediation process has been completed. 
• The remediation plan for the week of 12/16 has been moved to the week of 1/6. The remediation was rescheduled due to wet weather.
• BZ Excavation will not be available to work on the remediation plan until after January 6, 2025 due the contractor’s holiday schedule. 
• The Secondary Guard Building has been completed in fabrication and is ready to ship to the site when the base platform is completed. 
• Findings of Inspection of geotechnical subgrade of the relocated Member Lane: The subgrade was found to be insufficient in one area of the relocated member lane which will require remediation by the Contractor. Testing showed substrate was clay in one of the locations of the relocated member lane and will require an undercut based on VDOT requirements.
