Snow Removal Process For Lake of the Woods:
Snow removal is conducted in order of priority. For Full details go our Snow Removal Process page:
- Entrance and exit at main gate.
- Fire and Rescue entrances.
- Lakeview Parkway, rear entrance and Equestrian Center.
- Secondary (feeder) roads, with emphasis on hills, curves, and intersections. During periods of heavy accumulations of snow, these roads may be kept plowed to a one lane width.
- Except for an emergency, all other roads, cul-de-sacs, and dead-ends will be plowed when the accumulation of snow terminates. Removal will then be done systematically, section by section, until all roads are open.
- Mailbox stations and trash compactor site.
- Parking lots. (Parking lots for Association offices and facilities will be cleared prior to opening for business.)
Also, please remember not to park your vehicles on the side of the road. Do not park close to the edge of the road. Parking behind the culvert pipe in your driveway is a good rule of thumb.
