Definitions

SAFE: All tests and / or observations from management have shown that there is no cause for concern in and around the location indicated.
SWIMMING ADVISORY: One or more tests have indicated that there is cause for concern and that members should not swim in lake at or near the location of the test.  If a No Swimming Advisory were to be issued, additional information and instructions will sent to LOWA members via email, text message, Facebook and posted on the front page of this website.

E.coli
Test results shown below are updated upon completion of the monthly E.coli testing process or as needed if there is an area of concern. The Virginia Department of Health recommends issuing beach advisories when E. coli concentrations exceed 235 CFU/100ml.

Algae
