UPDATE January 8, 2025

Progress Update: Main Gate Traffic Congestion Relief Project:

• The remediation plan for substrate findings was rescheduled to occur this week, inclement weather has delayed that work. 
• Findings of the Inspection of geotechnical subgrade of the relocated Member Lane: The subgrade was found to be insufficient for a roadway base in one area of the project which requires remediation by the Contractor. Testing showed substrate was clay in one of the locations and needs an undercut based on VDOT requirements. 
• The Secondary Guard Building has been completed in fabrication and is ready to ship to the site when the base platform is completed.
