What responsibility does the Board and management carry in reflecting a positive attitude toward Lake of the Woods? Accusing the members who voted against the recently failed referendum for being responsible for serious financial and leadership issues in LOW does not encourage a positive attitude from the community. Perhaps the decisions and actions of past and current board members have paved the way for the so-called negative attitudes. Even two recent president’s articles explain a lot. Take a good look in the mirror before you start pointing a finger at the people who pay the bills.

I dine frequently at the Clubhouse and am impressed by the quality of the food and the selections offered. The wait staff could use better training. Menu prices are, I believe, comparable to local sit-down restaurants.
A hundred people could dine at the clubhouse, enjoy the experience and never comment. One person could have an unfavorable experience and post it on FB. The best way to resolve such a situation is to call it to the attention of one of the Clubhouse managers. I have found that they are quick to resolve such issues. Resolution is better than posting.
Lacking is communication between customer and Clubhouse management. I have heard customers comment to staff that a certain dish should be offered more frequently. Does this get relayed to management? Preprinted cards the size of the recent discount cards with spaces for customers to comment on the dishes served, service, etc. could be put on each table. The cards deposited in a secure box for the Clubhouse Committee. which could go through them and provide feedback to the clubhouse management and follow up on implementation. This would provide a line of communication between customer and management. Let’s make it better.
