On August 8th I was in Richmond going to the Veterans Hospital. I received an alert on my ring camera that my front door was open and there were people on my front porch. I pulled up the ring doorbell app and saw a wonderful women standing on my porch, she told me the front door was open and our 3 dogs got out and were running around on Lakeview. She and her husband graciously rounded up our dogs and got them inside safely and secured the front door. I don't know their names so I won't be able to thank them in person, but I am eternally grateful to them and in knowing that these are the type of neighbors in the Lake.

We would like to thank and acknowledge Captain Nathaniel Howe for rescuing us when our boat conked out on Sunday, September 22 while boating in the middle of the Lake. Fortunately, we had our cell phones with us. We called Security and Captain Howe appeared within ten minutes. He tied us up to the security boat, towed us back to our dock and delivered us right up against our dock. It was positively seamless. He clearly knew what he was doing and we appreciated both his skill and his promptness.

Please watch the presentation on the state of our lakes, given by Jack Simons, chairman of the Maintenance & Ecology Committee at yesterday's LOWA board meeting. The presentation begins at the 2 hour, 20 minute mark of the meeting. Jack has been speaking to the dire need for action from LOW management to properly care for and maintain our most important community assets.
Please attend LOWA Board meetings and demand that appropriate action be taken before we lose the recreational use of our lakes.

We would like to thank the Clubhouse staff for a wonderful event. Our son was recently married at the Clubhouse in September. The entire experience from planning to execution was very smooth.
The wedding went off without a hitch. All the staff was very accommodating. Special thanks to Ciearra, Stephanie and Chaz for ensuring the bride and groom’s vision was carried out. If you have a need for an event facility we highly recommend the Clubhouse.
Would also like to give a shout out to our Photographer who is local. They did an excellent job of capturing the wedding love and excitement. When the sun came out and blinded us on the point, his professionalism produced excellent photographs
