18 Hole PGA Golf Course

Book Your Tee Time

The picturesque 18-hole PGA course was carved into the woods of oaks and pines, and no two fairways adjoin. The par 71 course, with four sets of tees for each hole, is designed with a variety of slopes, sand, and water, and can accommodate all levels of play. Men, women, and children alike enjoy testing their skills on the fairways and greens. Golf course maintenance is comprehensive and performed year-round to keep the course in top playing condition.

Course fees are posted on the annual LOWA fee schedule. USGA rules and local rules govern all play.

A PGA professional is on staff at the Woods Center and available for instruction and to discuss the golf program with members. The Golf Pro will gladly explain the many golf events scheduled throughout the year, as well as answer any questions. Adult Golf Clinics and Junior Golf Camp are scheduled annually.

Golf starting times vary throughout the year. The LOW Pro Shop opens one-half hour prior to the first tee time. Tee times may be reserved up to seven days in advance. Proper dress is required and soft spikes must be worn. Golfers not properly attired will not be allowed to play the course. Members are responsible for ensuring that their guests are properly attired and familiar with the rules of the golf course.

The Golf Course Medical Flag Policy allows golfers with a physical handicap to use golf carts off the regular cart paths. Medical flags may only be issued to those presenting a handicap-parking permit issued by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.

Current fee schedules are available for individuals and families on a daily or seasonal basis. Look in Lake Currents or contact the LOW Pro Shop staff  for special twilight rates available for play during light traffic hours and the cooler months.

The Golf Pro and the LOW Pro Shop staff can assist members with establishing a handicap via the computer in the LOW Pro Shop. The LOW Pro Shop carries golf clubs and other accessories, along with apparel stitched with the association logo.

Lake of the Woods is also a great venue for you to host your next tournament or fundraiser for your organization or Club. Our prices are very affordable and we offer delicious on-site catering through the Fareways Cafe. For more information, call the Pro Shop or check out our tournament registration form.

In addition to housing the LOW Pro Shop, the Woods Center provides additional meeting space for Association and club activities. The Fareways Cafe in the Woods Center is open to all residents, not just golfers. The facility serves a varied menu of breakfast and lunch items throughout the day.
